Happy Spring, everyone! Students have been hard at work brainstorming how we can improve our peace garden and include more features of an outdoor classroom that will allow our school community to use the space more. We were so lucky to have a Horticulturist come and help with removing invasive species and levelling out a garden bed for students to use as an experiential art garden (as part of our work with our artist in residence!)
Students in Room 12 worked with our Grade 1 buddies to map out our current layout of the garden and spent lots of time in discussion about what we can ADD to the garden to make it more of a classroom space AND more sustainable for our community.
